Passion Play
Our Passion play at church finished up last weekend. It didn't seem quite as long to me this time, since I missed the first two nights. (We were in Clemson.) Tera and I did the part at the end with the girls. It's always fun...keeping balance on a chair is the most stressful part. haha. Josiah and Aedan were in the crowd scene this year. They did a great job! I wasn't sure what they would do...actually go through with it, or not, but they were fine, and really enjoyed being with the other children in the play.

Here is Josiah and Aedan in their costumes. They were very excited! When they first found out that they would get to wear costumes, Aedan asked if he could wear his Buzz Lightyear costume. Now that would have been funny!

Mercy Cate's 1st Birthday
Mercy Cate is one!! I can't believe that a year has already gone by...the time has flown! We had a fun day celebrating her birthday. The kids and I picked Ryan up from work in the late morning and we headed to the park. We walked some paths and then played on the playground. Mercy loves being outside, so she was happy playing in the dirt:) After the park we went to Zaxby's for lunch, and went to 32 degrees (a frozen yogurt shop). Later that evening, when Ryan got home from work, we opened presents and ate cake.
Mercy's little personality is very sweet and happy. She chooses walking over crawling and gets around quickly. She likes her brothers and even dinosaurs (I think). She likes to dance and laugh, play peek-a-boo, cuddle, and pull bows out of her hair:) She likes to put blankets over her head and walk around...like a little ET on Halloween. Oh, and she has also a great sense of balance.
Happy Birthday, sweet girl!!! We love you!!!
Here are some pictures of her birthday in a Smilebox....it may take a minute to download...hope you don't mind being patient. (It saves space on my blog.)

Clemson Trip
We took a trip to Clemson this past weekend, and it was FABULOUS! We left Thursday afternoon and returned home on Sunday. We stayed with Donna and Randy...in their basement. It was perfect! A couple years ago their basement was flooded so it was all redone. Also, since they have grandchildren (ages 4 and 2) they had lots of toys to entertain the kids. Donna was keeping her grandchildren, Addie and Bear, for the weekend so the kids had playmates! Josiah and Addie seemed to especially like each other:) They played really well together. At one time, they were playing pirates in the backyard. We went to the Botanical Gardens and also to Lightsey Bridge Apartments, where Ryan and I met. (Yes, pictures were a must!) We took random pictures around campus and snuck into Littlejohn to see some basketball practice. We visited with friends, ate at favorite restaurants (sour cream and chive fries...yum), and saw a soccer game. The highlight of our trip was on Saturday when we went to the Orange and White game. It was so awesome to (officially) introduce the boys to Clemson football. They liked being at the game...just a little hot. Josiah said his favorite part was when the cannons went off. Aedan's favorite part was high-fiving the Clemson tiger. Other fun things we did included touching Howard's Rock, getting football programs, yogurt cups, "fishing" at Botanical Gardens, seeing Micah, and walking on the dike. Gotta LOVE Clemson!!!!

Kindergarten time!
I registered Josiah for kindergarten today! He starts on July 25th...so early! They do a modified schedule to start, so he won't go everyday. When we got there, we filled out paperwork and then visited the various kindergarten classrooms. Josiah didn't enjoy waiting in line and waiting for me to fill out the paperwork, but I think he liked seeing the different classrooms. Each teacher gave out different information on various topics when we went room to room. He also got a snack and a pencil box (with scissors and crayons inside)! He was excited about that!

yay Josiah :)
Our dicipleship semester at church ended this past Sunday night. I know it seems early, but we have the Passion play coming up, which takes up two weekends and also other special days, like Easter and Mother's day. (Both Josiah and Aedan are in the Passion play this year...pictures coming soon.) We had a celebration night, where the classes share some of what they learned, and also get tokens (for prizes) that they have earned. Josiah got 13 tokens and he willingly shared 3 with Aedan so he could get a prize, too. (I was impressed!) Also, Josiah earned the most "points" in his class, so he got a special prize! Go Josiah...we are proud of you!!!!
