Put 'em to work!

The weather in Cookeville has cooled off a touch. Last week the boys wanted to wash the cars. I let them just wipe them with water...no soap this time. Maybe next time:)

Aedan found an old hornet's nest. Thankfully it was old:)

the not so Funfest

We headed out to the Funfest this evening. We were mainly going so the kids could see the Super Reader characters. We had good intentions, but once we got out there, Josiah did NOT want to get near them. He is freaked out by people in big costumes. (He's not a fan of the Chick-fil-a cow, either...so maybe I should have known.) Aedan liked seeing the characters, but didn't want to wait to get his picture taken with them. So, we got no pictures...that's okay...it was worth a try!

Look at Josiah's face! Can you say "freaked out, or what?"

We ran into my doctor while we were out. She, too, was taking her son (3 1/2) to see the Super Readers. This is Paige Gernt...she delivered both Aedan and Mercy.

Ryan with Mercy...yes, Mercy has a hold of the balloon.

Typical Aedan...sticker on his mouth...love the balloon hat:)

leg warmers!

I'm sure that everyone has been dying to see Mercy Cate's new green and white striped leg warmers! They are so AWESOME! I got them with a "free" sling online. I say "free" since shipping was a little pricey and I had to pay extra for the warmers. I think it was well worth it! It was still a great deal!

dresses:)

I recently found a great online deal at Kohl's. I got all of these dresses for less then $5.00 each! I purchased various sizes for future summers. Mercy will be stylin!:)

Mercy's new toy

Mercy got a new toy! The exersaucer we had for Josiah was borrowed, and the one for Aedan was a hand-me-down and had fallen apart. We decided to get a pretty pink one:) I ordered this from Walmart Thursday night, and it arrived to our house Saturday around noon! That was fast...and shipping was free!

future track stars

Last Saturday was Clemson's first football game. We dressed in our Clemson attire for the day! In the morning we went over to Tech's track and let the boys run. They did well. I think Aedan enjoyed it more, but it was still something fun and different to do that we'd never done before.

Aedan's Birthday

Aedan's last night of being 2:(

The morning began with yummy doughnuts from Grammy and Grampy. We quickly got ready after breakfast, and headed north of town to Standing Stone State Park. We'd never been there before, so we weren't sure exactly what to expect.

We found ourselves on a skinny little trail on the side of a mountain. The boys did well, and liked it, but it was a little difficult since Aedan still needs his hand held in this type of situation. (It would have been easier if two people could fit easily on the trail.) We walked for a while and then ended up turning around to go back to an area of the park we had passed on our way.

Mercy did great in her carrier:)

When we got home, we ate lunch and then the boys got their bikes from Gigi! Yay!!

Go Aedan!

Ryan is showing Josiah how to pedal to go and stop. He had to do this with both of the boys.

After bike riding, the boys went to naps to rest up for the party that night...
