Bible Time!

We have started teaching Josiah Bible verses. So far, he has learned two verses:

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want." Psalm 23:1

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." Ephesians 6:1

Birthday Celebrations

My birthday fell on a Wednesday this year, which is Ryan's busiest day of the week. We were able to meet at Chick-fil-a for lunch to eat some yummy chicken. The night before, we went out to Mt. Juliet (about an hour away) to go to Dick's Sporting Goods to try and find some comfy pants that I had heard about....I found them!!! And, they fit, too. They are the Rebok PE Pant and SOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable. I love them!!!! Here are some pictures:

Outside Videos

Outside Fun

The past week, it has been warm enough to take the boys outside some in the mornings, or at least before naps. (And by warm I mean in the 50's and maybe even 60's!) Here are some pictures of out outside play:)

Here's Josiah in the little house that Ryan's parents bought for the boys while they were here.

Josiah and Aedan in the backyard. Josiah on top of the hill!

Josiah and Aedan are both inside the house. Of course, Josiah is trying to take a rock from Aedan.

Aedan inside the house.

Josiah likes to sit in this tree in our background. We have another tree in the front that is much better for climbing, but Josiah LOVES this little spot.

Great CVS Deals!!

Here's what I've gotten at CVS this week!! All for ONLY $12.59!!!! Yay!!!!
It's been a few weeks since I've shopped at CVS. They just haven't had anything that I needed (or use) on sale, or to earn extra bucks. So, I've been waiting....this week, however, they have lots on sale that we use. I am so excited to get all of this stuff at the price that I did...usually one package of Pull Ups costs about what I paid for everything! I am so excited!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!
Here's what I did:
First Transaction: I bought the shampoos and conditioners. I used 2 coupons, which were both, get three dollars off when you buy to Herbal Essence shampoos. Then I had $5.00 in ECBs from my previous visit. So, I paid like a $1.60 for the shampoos, and conditioners. Not to mention, I got $4.00 back in ECBs.
Second Transaction: I bought the toothpaste next. Each was $2.99. I used one coupon for the toothpaste ($1.00 off) and also the $4.00 of EBCs from the previous transaction. So, I paid around $1.80 for the toothpastes. I got back just under $6.00 back in ECBs. (This transaction was a money maker with using the coupon.
Third Transaction: I bought the pull ups with my last transaction. They were on sale for $8.99. I had two coupons, each for $2.00 off. I used the $6.00 in ECBs that I had, and paid $9.17 for both packs. I didn't get any ECBs back. Maybe next time:)

Happy Valentine's Day

Josiah and Aedan opening their Valentine's presents from Gigi.

Yay!! A Clemson football!!

Aedan with his CARS ball.

Aedan's hair is sometimes fluffy in the morning because he likes to sleep on his forehead.

Josiah with his ABC puzzle.

Josiah is into holidays now...especially holidays where he gets PRESENTS!

a new light:)

For our anniversary this past year, Ryan and I bought ourselves a new light fixture for our play area in our house. The old light fixture was really quite ugly to me, so I am very thankful to have a new one!! While we were in New Orleans, Ryan's dad put the new fixture up! It looks SOOOOOO much better! Below is a before and after shot of the old and new light fixtures.

Yay!!!! This is so much better!!!!!!!!!

The Big Easy

Last weekend, Ryan and I headed to the French Quater in New Orleans. Ryan's parents came up from Columbia to watch the boys for us. This summer we'll be taking our teenagers to the French Quarter for our Samaria Project, which is our out-of-state mission trip. We always like to preview an area before we go (if possible) to get a feel of the area and to meet the church. We'll be working with Vieux Carre Baptist Church this summer. We met Greg, the pastor, and his family, along with some other church members. Ryan and I walked around the French Quarter on Saturday and brainstormed different ideas of things we could do with the teenagers to serve the community, and to ultimately share Christ with them. We came up with some ideas that I think will be good:) It was a great weekend, personally, to get away for a few days, even though I missed Josiah and Aedan a bunch! We really liked the French Quarter. It kind of reminded us of a mix between Charleston and Key West, maybe....who knows, maybe we haven't been enough places! I'm looking forward to this summer, and going back:)
Ryan in front of the Mississppi sign at the Welcome Center. It was our first time in Mississippi.

Ryan and I went out to eat our first night in New Orleans. It was the first time I'd had in about 4 years!!! It was soooooooo yummy!

More of New Orleans:

My mom is so cool, that they have a restaurant named after her in the French Quarter!

gotta take a picture of the street sign:)

This is the cutest and prettiest little house I saw in the French Quarter. It is just around the block from the church.

more pretty little houses

My beautiful mask that I bought while in New Orleans. Unfortunately, I left it at the church by accident. Oh, well...it was only about $4.00, and at least I have a picture with it on.

We are at the Moon Wok for lunch one day. Yummy, yummy shrimp fried rice!

Here is the sign of the church we'll be working with.

Night time on Bourbon Street. This was on Sunday night...you could actually walk down it. Friday and especially Saturday nights were MUCH more crowded! The first Mardi Gras parade was on Saturday night so there were more people out that night.

Ryan and I our last night out to eat.

We walked so much around the Quarter, that my feet were aching at times...I know it sounds weak, but we seriously did do a lot of walking. Here's a super husband rubbing and massaging my feet (with a smile)!
