He is Risen!

For in him all fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood cross.
Colossians 1:19-20

So thankful to be reconciled to God through the resurrection of Christ!  Praise the Lord!

The kids Easter buckets~  I mostly had consignment stuff in their buckets, with the exception of a few things. I found lots of good things...lots of sports jerseys and the princess doll you see for Mercy.

Since it rained on Easter, our picture was taken inside.

And, no photo shoot is complete without some silly pictures.

Later in the evening, we did resurrection biscuits with the kids!  It is always fun, and it's something that they all love to eat!  Click Here to see detailed directions on how to make them.  (Scroll down to the end of the post.)  Here are the kids preparing the biscuits:

Jesus is gone!
In other March news, Josiah and Aedan's March Madness teams made it to the final four!  Josiah had Syracuse, and Aedan had Michigan!  Looks like it will be brother vs. brother to get to the final game.

Aedan watching sports.  Basketball stuff!  Representin' da hood!
Also, on a side note, Josiah is liking sports much more these days.  He still loves animals, but he loves talking sports now and writing out sport schedules.

Cbs Leadership Retreat

Last weekend we had our Cbs leadership retreat.  It was just an overnight, but it was so refreshing and a fun time to get away.  I left Friday afternoon around 2:30 after meeting up with a few other ladies.  He went to Beersheba United Methodist Camp about an hour and a half away.  It was southwest (I think) from Cookeville.  (The camp itself is a great place for a women's retreat.)  The whole weekend was on spiritual gifts.  We had dinner Friday night, and then a session.  Later, we played games.  Yes, I am not a huge game person, but I actually like the card game we played!  hahaha!  My plan was to stay up late, but not too late that it would be too difficult to function.  I went to bed a little after midnight.  Breakfast in the morning was anytime between 8:00 and 9:00.  When my roomie and I woke up, I just laid in bed for a while (with no interruptions) while she took a shower and got ready.  We headed to breakfast, and I actually drank coffee!  They had yummy flavored stuff to put in it.  We had one more session, and then packed up.  We all ate lunch together before heading out!  It was such a blessing and I am so thankful I was able to go!

We each had a goodie basket on our bed!  How sweet!

Charleston- Day 4

We went to Magnolia Gardens on Friday.  They have a petting zoo there, so the kids loved it, of course!  We rode on the tram ride and the boys spotted about 13 alligators!  There were two HUGE ones that were actually in the road...VERY EXCITING! Very pretty!  I would definitely like to go back and do the swamp walk sometime!

Aedan is one the tram checking out the map! :)  We all love maps!
