Christmas in Columbia

After leaving Charleston, we headed to Columbia to see Ryan's family. Ryan's brother, Jason, and his daughter, Samantha, were in town as well. Tannya's family lives in Columbia. So with everyone there, pictures are a MUST! Here's a picture of all of the grandchildren:

Our last night there, we went to the zoo to see the lights. It was great to let the kids get out and walk, and enjoy the lights. It was a little cold, but not windy at all, so it was a great night to go. There were a few farm animals out and also the reptile/fish exhibits were open. Taryn came with us, so she is in our pics:)

Christmas in Charleston

On Sunday, December 27th, we headed down to Charleston, SC. It's normally about a 7 1/2- 8 hour drive, but because I40 is closed at the TN/NC border we had to go the LONG way. It adds on about an hour and a half. This should be the last time we travel for a while, so it should be fixed for next time. We had talked about going to the bowl game since it was in Nashville, but then later decided against it. We stayed at Caroline's house while we were in town.

We went to the fire truck museum with my dad and sister one morning. It was our first time going there...the boys did well. Josiah especially liked the fire truck simulator.

At night, we went to the see the lights with my mom, Mama, Aunt Francie, and Caroline. The lights were GREAT...the boys liked the dinosaur section, and the rockets.

We got to go on a train ride that Josiah and Aedan loved! Josiah was so excited, and could barely stand to wait the 30 minutes to ride. Once aboard, Josiah loved the dolphins and the frog jumping out of the water! Aedan was entertained as well. He liked it so much that he cried when the train ride was over.

The following day, we went to the children's museum. I love this museum, especially the water portion. This was the third time that I had been, and it was the most crowded I've ever seen it. There were kids everywhere. I was surprised that there wasn't more crying and less sharing...but everyone seemed to be fine with the craziness.

Aedan is playing with treasure here. Check out his wet pants from the water section.

Josiah and Aedan got telephones for Christmas, and they can talk to each other on them.

The boys also got scooters. I wasn't sure how they'd do with these, but they both like them. Josiah does excellent on his, and Aedan still needs a little help, but will get better in time, I'm sure.

Aedan is looking at his goody bag gifts from Gigi.

Wow!!! Buzz Lightyear...check out Aedan's face.

Josiah and Aedan love to walk around and pretend to take pictures with random toys. (I'm not sure where they get this from:) While at CVS one night, I spotted these cameras! They love them, and I got a super deal on them:)

yummy!

We also made a gingerbread house! They were so proud!:)

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to church and then came home and took family pictures. This one turned out the best with both of the boys smiling! We used the timer on my camara and tell the boys to "smile at the light"!

Next, we let the boys open up a present...their Christmas pajamas! They got some Ice Age pajamas. (Not your typical Christmas pajamas, but they're green, at least:)

9 years!

On December 23rd Ryan and I celebrated 9 years of marriage! We went out to eat at Olive Garden. (Super yummy!! I've been seriuosly craving italian food, and salads, so it hit the spot!) We also used some movie coupons we had to go see Blindside. It was an excellent movie, and I'm so glad we chose to see it. Thanks to the Ledbetters for watching Josiah and Aedan! They even put a little gift for each of the boys under their tree for them to open...how sweet! We're almost to double digits...WOW!
