Game 3

Aedan has his third game Monday night.  They lost this one (16-15).  Just by one point!  The team they played was also undeated coming into the game.  I was wondering how the coaches would act in a tight/losing game.  Would they get angry, yell, etc?  They were fine, though.  I could tell they were stressed some (especially when Aedan's team can to come back from being down 7), but they were still smiling, nice to the kids, and told them they did a good job at the end of the game.  I could tell they didn't like loosing, but who does?

Here are a couple of quick videos of Aedan at bat:

Mercy's friend

Mercy loves this girl at Old Navy.  Whenever we go in she wants to hug her!  She also liked the dog, but someone stole it:(  bummer!
What a funny girl!  (Mercy is wearing Aviation glasses on her head!)

Olympics 2012

The Olympics.
Every night our TV was on.
We watched and watched and watched some more.
Our favorites: swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, and track.
We will miss you Phelps and Misty May.
I felt like I competed myself.  I found myself so tired, and needing a rest once they were over.
Go USA!  See you in 2016!
Our children will be 10, 8, and 6!
Wow!
And, just for fun...here is a link to by blog post of the last Summer Olympics:

Game 2

Aedan had his second game last night and his team won!  Ryan had a meeting so I took the kids by myself.  BJ Ledbetter (a guy in the youth group) came to watch Aedan play, so I had his help with Josiah and Mercy.  They get a little bored and discontent out there.  Aedan was the first to lead off at bat.  He made it to first and then eventually home.  His second time at bat he hit the ball really well.  His team was up by 8, so his team had to go to coach's pitch (as opposed to t-ball), which was Aedan's third time at bat.  Aedan hit the ball from his coach after one strike and 2 foul balls.  He did well!  He got three runs total.  On defense, not that many balls went to Aedan, and the one that did got away from him.  He has several friends on the opposite team.  One from church and two (brothers) from CBS.  The final score was 18-10.

Yes, it was super bright outside!
At the end of the game (since we were up by so much) the coach switched the positions around.  He put the second string on the frontline.  Aedan was then an outfielder.  Here he is with his CBS friend, Ezra.

Aedan's first game

So we headed out to Aedan's first t-ball game last night.  I didn't really know what to expect.  Thoughts that went through my head were:
Would Aedan do well?  What about the team?  Will we loose every game? (Cause that's no fun)  I hope Aedan doesn't make mistakes.  I hope the coaches are nice.
Aedan was pumped about playing and SOOOO excited!  Here he is before the game:

ready to play
They have Aedan playing "second base", which doesn't really seem like second base to me.  But, that's what Ryan says he plays. haha  See where Aedan is on the line?  Just to the left of the pitcher.  The kid closest in the picture is the first baseman.

more waiting
Aedan was able to stop most of the balls that came his way.
yay!  now he's in ready position

Aedan was first up to bat for his team.

And waiting some more to bat

He swings!
Aedan got a double on the above hit.  Once he made it to second, he was able to go to third as the ball was over thrown dying to get him out.  Then, he ran all the way home!  He got a HOME RUN!  Woot!  We were going crazy and Josiah, especially, was screaming a lot for Aedan.

Here's Aedan running to first after his second time at bat.
go Aedan!

Aedan had two runs total for the night.  (2 for 2)  His team won.  The final score 13-5.

After the boys went to bed that night we were looking around for Aedan's hat, and couldn't find it anywhere.  I went looking in his room and this is how I found him!!!  For real, I promise that I didn't set up this picture!!! :)
sleep tight!

CBS

Aedan and Mercy had their first day at "school" last week.  They will go on Thursdays from 8:00-2:00 this year!  I found some lunch bags at Aldi for a great price, so they all got new ones.  Josiah DESPERATELY needed one, so he was super excited himself.  Mercy and Aedan loved their's as well:)  CBS officially starts this week!
