Off to Charleston ~ Day One

After leaving Virginia, we headed down 95 to Charleston to visit with my dad. My dad has a new place, and it is MUCH more spacious than his previous place. Once again, the boys did pretty well traveling. On our first morning in Charleston, we went to Charlestowne Landing. (We went there when Josiah was one, too.) They have an animal section to Charlestowne Landing that we went to go see. Of course, the boys loved it. We weren't able to go throughout the whole park, though...maybe when they get older. For lunch, we went to Chuck E Cheese:)

More VA pics

Here are some more pictures from Virginia. After naps, my mom and I took the kids back to the park to play on most of the days I was there. They loved the park and playing on the playground equipment. Below are some pictures of the boys with Martha. Martha is one of my mom's friend's granddaughter. Martha is just a couple months younger then Josiah. They all played together really well, and had fun with bubbles.

More videos...probably the dinosaur song:)

One night I went to go see some friends from high school, Matt and Elena. It was a fun time to see them...I hadn't seen them in years!

Day 4 ~ Blue Bird Gap Farm

Our last morning in Virginia, we headed to Blue Bird Gap farm in Hampton. It's free to go, and Josiah and Aedan love to see animals! (The animals always look kind of sad here, though...maybe they know they actually live in a city...not a farm!) The farm has play ground equipment for kids to play on, which were new since the last time I had been (when Josiah was around 11 months). Here are some pictures!

Day 3 ~ Virginia Living Museum

Day 3 (in the morning) was spent at the Va Living Museum. I hadn't been to the museum in years...I thnk the last time I went I was in 7th grade, or something like that. The museum has expanded a lot, and has many more animals! The boys did great, once again, and loved it:)

checking out the indoor/outdoor section on the upper level...this section made me a little nervous, even though I knew the kids couldn't fall

Josiah LOVED the shark...it was all he cared about looking at. He was continually waiting for the shark to swim by him!

Josiah with the sea turtle...probably his 2nd favorite in the tank!

Gigi and Josiah with the dinosaur statue! Josiah loves dinosaurs...they are his favorite and new obsession!

Josiah on the frog!

There is an outdoor section to the museum now with animals to see. The kids love being outside looking at the animals.
