Happy 6th Birthday! :)

My "baby" Aedan is now six!  wow!  The time has flown.  Aedan's actual birthday fell on a school day for him this year and it also happened to be hat day!  He and Josiah were ready to sport their Clemson gear in honor of the Clemson/Georgia game the following day.  Ryan went to eat lunch with Aedan at school for his birthday, which was a surprise for him.  After school we had present time and Aedan opened up presents from family.  He got some thoughtful gifts that he loves!  He played with his gifts for a while and then we headed out to dinner.  Aedan's choice: Burger King.  (I guess that's better than McDonalds...hahahahaha!)  We came home to eat Dirt for dessert and sang another birthday song to him.  (Dirt was his request for his second birthday treat!)  We are so proud of our sweet Aedan!  We love you!

Aedan's birthday party

We had Aedan's birthday party on August 24th, the weekend before.  We had a busy day with another Lowes workshop, and a football game.  Aedan's party was in the afternoon, and then he had baseball practice in the evening!  Whew!  What a day!  Aedan had a Monsters University party this year.  It was between that and a Clemson party.  Initially, the cake was "easy" to make, but something happened and it became super crumby as I tried to ice the cake.  (a little frustrating!)  I was still happy with how it came out overall:)  We are looking forward to October 29th when Monsters U comes out on DVD.  We will be heading to Walmart on the release date for sure!  Here are some party pics:)

another baby-sitting job

Mercy had another opportunity to babysit Bingo for Vivian.  Bingo went lots of places with us: Walmart, the chiropractor, Lowes, and more!  Mercy takes very good care of her.  She put her to bed every night and made sure she was fed!  Bingo enjoyed playing with Mercy's other babies.  Mercy even changed a dirty diaper!  What a super mom!

Mercy put a swim suit on Bingo!

This girl loves her babies!

These three princess babies had to sit in "The Get-Along Shirt".  Mercy told me that they weren't nice to Bingo.  hahahaha!  Maybe they didn't want to share their momma's attention.

Our fox

This post is for my sweet animal lovin' Josiah!  I snapped a picture of our fox last month.  He was actually out around 11:00 in the morning, which is late for him (or her).  Mercy and I drove home from Walmart and saw him across the street in front of our house.  Thankfully, I had my camera in my purse and snapped this picture!

A PLANES Saturday

The day after the After Dark Race, we had a PLANES day!  The morning started off with a Lowes workshop to make "Dusty" the airplane.  The kids really enjoy the workshops and building.  It can be frustrating at times, but they are always happy with the finished product and I am glad when they are done!  hahaha!  We met up with Wesley and his mom that morning.

Also, on this Saturday, Josiah had a football game, which I posted about just a little bit ago.  After lunch that day we went to see the movie, "Planes".  I thought it was cute!  Thanks to Gigi for the Movie money!

The After Dark Race

The boys ran the After Dark Race last month.  I don't think they experienced the runner's high like last year, but they were happy to participate!  I love this run for several reasons:
1.)  It's in the evening, so we don't have to rush to get everyone out of the house at 7:00 in the morning.
2.)  They get a t-shirt (see Aedan's shirt)
3.)  The boys enjoy it.  (Mercy wants to run next year.)
4.)  It's free

Flag football

and an attempt to catch up!
I know I am VERY behind with my blog!  Life has been super busy with school starting and everything else. So, here is an attempt to catch up a little with a flag football update.  Josiah's season has gone well.  At this point, he only has one game left of the season.  His team has won every game, and he has enjoyed it a lot. The teams are pretty unevenly matched.  (They play the same team every week.)  He made two touchdowns this season and he has had two interceptions, which he is excited about.  We have been very fortunate to have cooler weather this August/September as we sit through games.  I think for next year we will try real football if the boys want to play in the fall.  Upward has been good, but what we are looking for with extra curricular stuff will be more likely found in the city football league.  Not to mention, the boys want to tackle. (Hopefully, they won't mind being tackled, too.)  Josiah has tried hard and has given lots of effort! We are proud of our "touchdown maker-Josiah"!

While Josiah plays his games, Aedan and Mercy play their own games.  Aedan's best CBS friend is usually out at the fields.  (His older brother is on Josiah's team.)  They love throwing the ball with each other.  Mercy also has a CBS friend to play with, too.

And, one more picture of Josiah being introduced!
