Pass it on

This week is the Pass It On consignment sale at the elementary school.  Our neighbor's daughter-in-law hooked me up with a shop early pass.  yay!  I was trying to find one, and we happend to see them outside and talked for a while while the kids played.  (She has a 3 year old and a 15th month old.)  The sale was really good, and there were lots of things!  There seem to be more boy stuff then last time, but less 2t stuff for girls.  Here is the low-down of what I got~

2T Girl Stuff:
6 long sleeved shirts (Some of them look like they have maybe been worn once.)
2 short sleeved shirts
3 pairs of pants (2 of them more of the comfy type with the shirt to go with it)
3t Girl Stuff:
1 children's place jeans (this brand of jean seems to fit her the best)
3 long sleeved shirts
2 dresses (one is from Gymboree and the other one is a Laura Ashley dress-which I got for $2.50!)
and 1 swimsuit (I love this suit.  It was $3.00 and from Gymboree.  It looks like it has barely been worn!)
Boy Stuff
1 short sleeved shirt for Aedan (poor guy doesn't get much when I shop at these sales, so I got him the football shirt)
2 short sleeved for Josiah
3 long sleeved shirts for Josiah
1 children's place jeans for Josiah
2 pairs of brown school pants
I got all of this for $56.00!  That comes out to a little over $2.00 per item! Woot!  I love consignment sales!  The sale is still going on now, so go and check it out! :)

big girl

Mercy has decided that she now wants to sit at the big table!  No more high chair for her!  I moved the high chair out of the kitchen.  I enjoy it not being there.  (There was some time in-between Aedan and Mercy when I got rid of it.)  Also, check out these well-balanced meals, and please don't mind Mercy's struggling hair. ha!

moose shirts

I had to post a picture of these shirts because they are so cute!  While we were in Clarksville, Virginia, the boys went to VBS.  They were only able to go two nights, and they LOVED it!  I love these shirts:)

another fish

The boys got lots of swim practice this past week.  Josiah began swimming underwater like crazy, and Aedan can now jump off a diving board!  He started with floaties, and then was able to take them off!  Here are some videos:

July 4th

July 4th fell in the middle of friends week.  The past couple of years my 4th of Julys have been rather lame.  Not that me having oodles of fun is necessary, but (of course) I like being with my family (and friends).  Two years ago, Ryan was in Dominican Republic, so I spent the day and evening at home with Mercy (as an infant) and the boys.  Then last year, we were on retreat.  At least I got to see Ryan that day, right?  When it came time for fireworks that night, Ryan was in the ER with one of our students who sliced his foot at the beach.  This year was definitely different (and easily) surpassed the last two years.  Fun times.

We went to Burgess Falls with the Russells.  It was quite warm, and fun seeing the falls.  They were actually the smallest we have ever seen them due to the lack of rain.  We hiked to the overlook and then down to the top of the falls.  The kids had fun, and of course, pictures are a must!

Every year my mom sends us a 4th of July box, and usually a shirt for each child.  Over the past two years the shirts have been a little big on them, so we had extra flag shirts for the Russell kids.  Ryan and I had shirts, so Ryan and Christie picked up some flag shirts as well.  We were a Patriotic bunch!

Friends Week 2012

Ryan and Christie came to visit us!  yay!  Most of the week was spent around the pool.  The kids had a blast together; all ten of them!  Here are some highlights from the week:

little bit of pool time
We (the grown-ups) went out to eat at Rio's.  The food was really good.  It is a newer place to eat in town.

The girls went out to get pedicures one afternoon.

Ryan and Ryan drove the Romania team to the airport in Atlanta and stayed in town for a Braves/Cubs game.  Ryan R's cousin lives just outside of Atlanta, so he met them to go with them.
