Soccer Saturday

The boys both had back to back games on Saturday morning~4 games total.  Ryan coached three of the games.  He had to run to Josiah's game, so a couple of the dads from Aedan's team stepped in to help coach Aedan's team.  It was a nice morning after a week of rain and clouds~hurricane leftovers.  We desperately needed the rain, so several days of rain was great!  I was, however, glad to see the sunshine on Friday!  It was fun to watch the games.  Aedan did fabulously!  He scored at least 7 goals in the first game and 13 in the second!  20 total!!!  FUN! FUN!

after the games

Josiah is in the next age division up from Aedan.  It is harder and (much) more competitive than Aedan's division.  Last time they had a game, his team struggled with being aggressive and actually going after the ball.  They turned it around this week, and did MUCH, MUCH better!!  Ryan was a little worried after that first game, but there was improvement!  Yay!!  Josiah scored 3 goals on Saturday!  Yay!!!  Go Josiah!!!

Here's a video of Josiah scoring his final goal.  It's from a distance, so it may be a little hard to see.

my chair

Mercy loves little chairs!  Here she is on my little rocking chair that I had as a little (baby) girl.  It is an OLD chair, and a sturdy one for lasting about 33 years!!!

back to waterloo

We went back to Waterloo on Saturday so Josiah could see the falls.  This place is awesome and beautiful!!  It should be great next summer when Mercy is a little older and can play in the water more easily (without trying to drown).  I can't believe that we haven't been here before now with the kids.  We'll be getting water shoes for all the kids next summer and coming here for sure!!!

Josiah LOVED it!  I think he could play here for hours and be entertained, and they didn't even get in the water.

Along the rock there are small waterfalls, which would probably be bigger not not for the little drought we've had in the area.

Checking out the falls

My little adventurer!  Yes, this makes me a little nervous.

Ryan with Josiah.  Yes, I was still a little nervous.  Glad Ryan was with him to hold his hand.:)
