Burgess Falls

We went to Burgess Falls last weekend...there was so much water coming over the falls! Springtime has come early to Tennessee this year. It is so nice to be able to go outside with the kids and not feel so cooped inside all of the time. We decided that next time, we'll hike the trail down to the bottom of the falls with the kids. We think the boys can do it, and Ryan can carry Mercy in the backpack carrier.

After we hike to the falls, we always play on the playground. It is a nice playground, and the kids love it. Aedan even climbed up the dinosaur on the playground equipment all by himself, which was a first!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We started our photo shot outside in front of some flowers across the street, but the sun was kind of in the way. Mercy Cate was engaged with sticks and grass and didn't want to look at me.

smiles! She is sporting her "bow tie" from Gigi as a headband.

standing up...I thought if we stood up, she might not play with the sticks and grass as much.

loving the sticks!

tree climbing time...they are pretending to be jaguars.

finally...a shot without the sun...the best one, I think:)

Josiah climbed up all by himself. He has grown so much since we moved into this house!

Mercy loved being outside!

a quick inside shot once we came in:)

another Walmart find

I've had my eye on these fleece pajamas at Walmart for quite some time. The first "clearance" price that I saw on them was $4.00. Walmart seems to do that a lot...having a "clearanced" priced item that really isn't all that low of a price. (I think they were originally $5.00 or so.) Finally, this past week I checked them out and they had been marked down to $1.00! Now that is a great "clearance" price! I got three 2Ts and three 3T's...six total for $6.00! yay! I love finding deals like this!!

big girl

Mercy is digging big girl food! She'll eat the occasional baby food, mainly fruits...but she likes REAL food now. High chair pics:

spaghetti time!

fleeting moments...

50!

Josiah completed his 50th lesson of his reading book this past weekend. He is halfway through the book now, and is doing great! (At times it can get frustrating, but overall he has done quite well.) We had a celebration for him on Saturday. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, a doughnut cake after lunch, and went bowling with the youth group in the afternoon.

The boys had never been bowling before, so this was a new and fun experience. They were excited about going and knocking the pins down.

Ryan helping Josiah bowl. The baby carrier came in handy...Ryan carried Mercy like this for the entire two hours we were there.

Yay! Aedan bowling!

Just 49 more lessons to go! Will we finish by the time we go to Florida? Hmmm...that is the goal, but we'll see:)
