GiGi's Visit

This past weekend GiGi (my mom) came to visit. She flew into Nashville Saturday morning, and Aedan and I went to pick her up. It was only about an hour and 15 minute drive from Cookeville. We had a busy weekend! We began by celebrating Aedan's birthday a couple weeks early. His birthday is August 30th! I can't believe that he is just about one now! His first year has gone by so fast. Josiah is really into birthdays...much more then when he turned two. He wanted to wear the birthday hat this time. He now loves to celebrate birthdays!

Cane Creek Park

We went to the park a couple times when my mom was here. Josiah loves going to the park, and so do I. It's great to get out of the house and let him get some exercise.

The second time we went to the park Josiah kept laying down on the trail. It was humorous, but a little frustrating, too. Finally, he got back in the stroller and rode the rest of the way.

Fun Friday!

This morning we went out to Cane Creek Park. It was such a beautiful day! It wasn't humid at all, and it was in the 70's when we were out. It almost felt like a fall day. (I don't remember it being so cool last year at this time when I was really pregnant with Aedan..haha!) We decided to walk the long loop around the pond. We took the double stroller so that Josiah could ride once he got tired. He made it a long way...probably over a mile before he wanted to ride. He did really well. Aedan fell asleep along the way (as expected)! He are some pictures from our walk.

Tonight, we had a youth pool party. The boys were GREAT! Josiah did well, and so did Aedan. I don't have any pictures from the pool party, but here are some pictures before we left.

This past Saturday, Ryan and I took the kids to the pool. We met up with Daniel, Rachael, and their kids. Here are some pictures of our morning:

Getting back to normal...

This past week, I was very sick. The doctor said I had some type of virus. It began last Sunday afternoon. I had a fever, a headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, and energyless! Ryan stayed home from work on Monday to take care of the boys, and so that I could go to the doctor. I am very grateful that he has a job that enables him to do that if needed. (That was a first since having Aedan.) I finally began feeling better on Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty much video days. By the time Thursday came, though, I was able to play with the boys much easier. Here are some pictures of the boys playing on Thursday:
